Is There a Way to Trade in My Car and Not Get Hosed?

Honestly, I've done the dealer route, and I have no desire to trade in my car using vultures who prey on the weak. I'm not saying I'm weak, but I am saying that I get overwhelmed by sales pitches, and pushy people make me nervous. Frankly, I'm too high strung to attempt to trade in my car at a dealership.

That said, my best friend promised to come with me and help me through the experience. I thought it would help because he is male and perhaps that would give me more credibility with the salespeople. What I didn't seem to understand is that if I want to trade in my car that makes me the customer and the customer is always right.

Dealership Hassle

Even with my best friend there, it was a disturbing experience, and I may never set foot in a car dealership ever again. We were instantly surrounded, and they even tried to separate us. Rather, they tried to keep him busy as soon as they realized I was the one who wanted to trade in my car.

I believe in brand loyalty, so I did want to purchase another Dodge. However, I was having a hard time deciding which one, and I was concerned that I would never get what my existing car is worth. My friend stuck to me like glue and refused to fall for any of the sneaky sales tricks. He haggled and haggled on my behalf in the hopes of getting a better price from them. To no avail, we left with my car and a day of wasted time.

Turning to My Computer

I have been taking computer classes at the local college and thought that perhaps the Internet could help me trade in my car for what it is worth. I spent a short while online researching, and I came up with Cash4UsedCars.net. Their service seemed easy enough, and their offer of cash was too tempting to refuse.

I filled out their online form and got a phone call from them a short time later. We set up an appointment to have an appraiser come take a look at my Dodge and give me an estimate. It seemed too easy, but they were on time and friendly, and half an hour later, I had cash in my hand. It doesn't get any easier than that.
