My Husband Is Embarassed About My Nissan and Wants Me to Sell It

I've had my Nissan Sentra for as long as I can remember. That car has so many memories built into its cloth interior that I never wanted to let it go. However, my husband got himself a high-paying job and decided he was embarrassed to be seen in a Sentra. He told me it was time to sell my Nissan and get a nicer car. Secretly I think my husband wants me to sell my Nissan because an ex-boyfriend helped me buy it, and he wants memories of him eliminated from my life. Perhaps that is part of my reluctance to let it go.

How Do I Sell My Nissan and Get What It's Worth?

My main objective when I realized that the issue wasn't going to end quietly was to sell it to someone who would love it and take care of it. However, my husband had different ideas. He wanted me to sell my Nissan as quickly and efficiently as possible.

While he was at work, he did some research and found an online service that buys used cars for cash. He filled out the online form and put down our home phone number as the contact. A representative from Cash4UsedCars.net called me at home to ask me a few questions about my Nissan. It would have been nice if my husband had called to warn me, but it is clear that he is not messing around about wanting me to sell my Nissan.

Online Service Made It Easy to Sell

In the end, Cash4UsedCars.net was the easiest way to sell the car. The representative I spoke with on the phone was very nice and understanding of my situation. He said I wasn't the first wife to be forced into selling a vehicle that smells of an ex. He made an appointment with me to come see my Nissan and give it an appraisal. He also said that filling out the online form prior to the appointment was key because it allowed their network of affiliates to place bids on my Nissan before it had even been seen.

He was punctual, efficient, and nice while looking over my car. While that didn't make me any less sad about having to sell my Nissan, it sure made the process easier. About half an hour later, he made me an offer to in cash. It was a fair offer and one I felt good about accepting without consulting my husband. It was my Nissan, and I would lay it to rest myself. Besides, as soon as I had the cash in hand, I made an appointment at my favorite day spa for every treatment in the book. I had to console myself somehow, didn't I?
