My Mitsubishi Is a Beater - How Can I Sell It?
I knew from the beginning that it was going to be difficult to sell my Mitsubishi. It is an older model, and I'm not the first owner. Even though it runs, it looks like crap and needs some body work. I wasn't about to sink any money into it before I tried to sell my Mitsubishi, because I was skeptical about how easily I'd be able to unload it.
I did some research into the Mitsubishi brand, just to have some knowledge under my belt. It has proven to be a good car, and I'd like to buy another. It's well known that Japanese products stand up to the test of time. Mitsubishi is the fifth largest Japanese automobile manufacturer, so you know the name stands for quality under the hood. I just had to convince someone that it's what's inside that counts. The Mitsubishi family of companies started in the automobile industry in 1917, but the company name itself has been in business since the late 19th century.
The Only Way to Sell a Beater
When it came time to get serious about trying to sell my Mitsubishi I made a list of options. The dealerships were out; I knew they would only pay me pennies on the dollar, and I thought I could get more to take back to them later to buy a new one. The classifieds were out; I wasn't about to convince someone to buy my beater. I even called the junkyard to see how much they would offer me for it for parts. The amount was so minimal, it made me more determined to sell my Mitsubishi for a better price.
I ran across Cash4UsedCars.net by accident, really. A friend of mine writes for the web site, and she told me to go fill out their online form to see how much my car might be worth. I decided I should give it a try and spoke with an appraiser to see what they had to say. She told me that a half an hour was sufficient time to make a fair appraisal and that they could offer me cash on the spot.
Hard to believe, isn't it? But Cash4UsedCars.net was honest with me, gave the car a thorough looking over, and took the well-maintained engine into consideration when they made the offer. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse to sell my Mitsubishi.
